November 19 #frostball #thankful

Dear Stoneridge Families,
I hope that this post finds you enjoying your break with family and friends. As fires continue to burn in California, I am reminded how quickly life can change and how powerful community is as people come together across the state to support those in need. Hopefully the rain forecast this coming week will bring relief and clearer air with it.
I am also so thankful for our Stoneridge community of staff, families, and students.
Our staff: I am thankful for our teachers who work hard every day to not only help students learn academics, but to also fill their hearts with lessons of love and kindness that will last a lifetime. I am thankful for our maintenance team who keeps our school clean, safe, and looking beautiful each day--they are working this week as well to clear gutters and do upkeep that they can't do when kids are at school. I am thankful for our office staff who welcomes guests and parents with smiles and warmth every day, who hand out bandaids and ice to students with owies, and who keep our whole school organized and running in ways most people never see. I am thankful for our meal duties and food services staff. Our food services team serves about 260 hot lunches every day to our students, keeping them fed with three yummy choices! Our meal duties are amazing, and they do more than keep kids well supervised at lunch-- they sang, laughed, and even danced last week during our indoor lunch recess! I am also thankful for our support staff-- our nurse, instructional assistants, speech and  occupational therapists, psychologist, and psych field workers who provide individualized support for our students each day. I am thankful for our librarian who inspires readers and leaders, and am thankful for our PE team who works to build happy and healthy kids!

Our families and students: I am so thankful for our families who send their most precious treasures to us each day. We love seeing our families on campus, whether it's at pickup or drop off and a quick smile or conversation, to volunteering in classrooms, changing out the birthday board, helping with events, r just sending a quick note of thanks-- our families are the best around. Thank you for all you do to support our work with your amazing kids. I am so thankful From preschoolers and eager TK Big Dogs to our almost-middle schooler 5th graders, our students will change the world! I am so thankful for their enthusiasm for learning and the passion and compassion they bring each day! We have much to be thankful for, and I am honored to be a part of this community.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving! We look forward to seeing you all on the Monday the 26th.

Jennifer Kloczko

November 12

As we head into this week before Thanksgiving, I would like to share how thankful I am for our Stoneridge community of students, staff, and families. There are so many wonderful things happening at Stoneridge that provide our students with a rich and engaging educational experience, and this happens because of the passion, hard work, support, and commitment of everyone involved in our school. Thank you so much for being partners in your child's education and life. We are so grateful to spend each day with each and every student! Every day is truly a gift!

Also, our thoughts are with everyone in California affected by the fires. This week, we are hopeful for progress and will be keeping a close eye on air quality related to smoke in our area. As in August, we will adjust our schedules as needed to allow for indoor PE and recess related to poor air quality.

Have a wonderful week!
