Hello Families!

REMINDER: Minimum Day this Thursday, March 28 because we have Open House! 

Please remind your children to let their teacher know if they will be buying lunch. We have had a problem with many more students choosing to buy lunch than have signed up to buy, so some days kids don't get what they ordered. We are also making sure there is not a glitch with entering the numbers on our end. Just checking all angles! Thank you! 

This week is BOOK FAIR WEEK!

Book Fair - March 25-29

Monday:  lunch 12-1 & 3:10-4:30

Tuesday: Grand Event (Before School, Bagels and Books) @ 7:45-8:45 with a "grand" person. (students must have an adult with them.) *Bagels will be available for purchase. Also open 12:00-1:00 pm & 3:00 - 4:30 p.m.

Wednesday: lunch 12-1 & 3:10-4:30

Thursday: lunch 12-1  & 4:30-7:00  OPEN HOUSE

Friday: lunch 12-1 

Thursday, March 28 is Open House! 

The Book Fair will be open from 4:30-7pm.

Food Trucks (SFG, Chandos, and Big Spoon Yogurt) will be available from 5-7pm. 

Classrooms are open from 5:30-6:30pm.

It will be an awesome night! 

If it rains on the evening of Open House, we will move the food trucks to the quad and have the multi-purpose open for you to enjoy dinner with your family. 

The Musical is coming!!! Mark you calendars for April 11 & 12. 

The kids have been practicing like crazy and it will not disappoint.

CAASPP testing is around the corner!

Testing will begin 4/1 and continues through 5/3. Please verify exact test dates with your student's teacher (grades 3-5). Independent Study Contracts will NOT be approved during testing.

Happy Monday Stoneridge Families!

First and foremost, I am thrilled to announce that I have been officially selected as the principal of Stoneridge Elementary! Words do not describe how excited I am to continue working with the amazing staff and incredibly supportive families at Stoneridge.  ~Jessica Brooks

A HUGE thank you to all of you that were able to attend Betting on the Arts. It was so much fun and our students will benefit greatly because of your generosity.

An even bigger THANK YOU to our PTC and to Valerie and Eric Gross for all of their hard work on casino night and to Vanessa Bravo-Cook and Lupita Maldonado who ran the entire donation and sponsorship committee. It takes a ton of work to put on such an event and it turned out so well.

Mark your calendars, Open House will be March 28th. Classrooms will be open from 5:30-6:30pm. We will also have the Book Fair open in the library. In addition, we are excited to announce there will be food trucks from 5-7pm. We will have SFG, Chandos and Big Spoon Yogurt. It will be a wonderful evening celebrating your children's hard work!

SKATE NIGHT - Thursday, March 21st

Happy Monday Stoneridge! 

Last week we had a great time celebrating Storybook Character Day! Leave it up to the incredible Stoneridge staff to go ALL out!! 

Not only did the staff look great, but the kids looked great as well! 

This week, on Wednesday, March 13th, we are lucky enough to have our very own parent and author, Jesse Bennett, come spend time talking to our students. She is kind enough to share the profits from her book sales with our school and excited to have lunch with any student that buys her book. 
There are fliers in the front office, if you are interested. 

Also, THIS FRIDAY, the event we have been waiting for: Betting on the Arts
Our teachers are so thankful that the PTC puts in so much work on this incredible event. 
There is a special raffle for those who buy their tickets by this Tuesday at 5pm. Buy your tickets!! 

As way to say 'Thank You' for buying your tickets to our 4th Annual Casino Night - Betting on the Arts, we are going to hold a special raffle. Anyone who purchases tickets by this Tuesday, March  at 5:00 (including all previous purchases) will automatically be entered into a drawing to win two additional tickets to the event! We will draw five winners on Tuesday at 5:30 PM. Winners will be contacted right away so they can bring their friends and neighbors!

Wow! Can you believe it is March already?

IMPORTANT: Wednesday, March 6th is a Minimum Day for ALL students!!

We have had another great week at Stoneridge!

Emma Sumner, who is currently in 5th grade, wrote a book at the age of 8. We were lucky enough to have her share her story with Stoneridge. She was truly an inspiration to our students. As you can see, we had many excited readers!

Then, our very own Stoneridge parent, Mr. Bartlett- a pilot, came to talk to our third grade students who have been learning about the four forces of flight. They were so interested to learn about flying a real plane!

There are a lot of things coming up at Stoneridge:
TONIGHT!! Spirit Night at Mountain Mike's Pizza in Granite Bay. You can dine in, take out or get it delivered. Don't forget to use your jog-a-thon certificate! Dinner✔

Wednesday- STORYBOOK CHARACTER DAY! Get your costumes ready this weekend.

On March 13, we are lucky enough to have Jesse Bennett share her book with us. 

The Yoga House shares lessons of kindness, peace and gratitude for families.

It is an invitation to welcome mindfulness into your home and celebrate the love you have for your children and your family.

The story encourages you to dream big and shine bright, see the worlds magic, and be grateful for those you love.

Jesse is giving 25% back of each book sold back to Stoneridge! The class that purchases the most copies of The Yoga House will win a yoga class with Jesse and a fun yoga craft!
