Sunday, May 23

Here we are, coming upon our last week of school. Only four days to go. I cannot believe it!! I know that this year it is going to be more difficult for the teachers to say goodbye to this particular group of students. They have been through so much together and created such a special bond. In all honesty, I can't think of this year ending without tearing up. It has been a special and unique year, for sure. Another huge thank you to all of you for your flexibility, positivity and support! Going back to school was scary, but when we finally got back into the classroom, it was amazing. It took a huge leap of faith on everyone's part!

Schedule Next Week: We have a normal schedule next week. Please follow the same schedule as usual. Except- ALL Kinders EARLY on Thursday (Last Day)!

Sunday, May 16

Happy Sunday Families! This is going to be a quick blog because the Brooks kids are back into sports full swing and Momma Brooks is trying to keep up with the fun! Quite frankly, I am not sure if I am spending more time in my car or on the sideline! Just me?

Yearbooks: The yearbooks are in and so awesome!! They will be distributed the last week of school. If you did not order one, we have a few extras. They are $30 cash. Reach out to the office if you are interested in buying one.

Lost and Found: Take a peak at the gate in front of school to see if you recognize any of the jackets and sweatshirts. They will be donated after school is out.

Virtual Talent Show: I will be sending an email this week with the information how to share your virtual talent show video. I will need to get your videos this week so I can share the entire video the last week of school.

Mask Reminder: Although new mask guidelines have been shared by the CDC, we still require masks at school. Please continue to wear your mask when you come into the office and at pick up. Thank you for understanding.

Character Trait: We will be recognizing students who demonstrate Independence this week.

Spirit Day: This Friday, please come decked out in your best summer wear.

Enjoy the rest of your day! And this meme for no good reason other than it is always a good day for the Sandlot!

Happy Mother's Day to all of you! This is going to be a short post because I did not get this done on Saturday and there is spoiling that needs to be done in the Brooks' household!!

Teachers Appreciation: Speaking of spoiling, thank you for all you did to spoil our amazing Stoneridge teachers! Your showering of love and appreciation was overwhelming!

Virtual Talent Show: The one big item I will share is that we are going to do a Virtual Talent Show. You can get started on your videos. I will be sharing information on how to share them with me. Also, they can be any talent: Singing, dancing, telling jokes, scoring a goal, hitting a ball, etc. It is a showcase of our awesome Stoneridge students!!

Pennies for Patients: Thank you for your generosity! We donated $1500. We rock!!

Friday, Spirit Day: Stoneridge Gear

Have a wonderful day! Celebrate those Moms and everyone that has played that role!!

Sunday, May 2

This week is Teacher Appreciation Week! I know you know, but our teachers are amazing. One of the big reasons we were able to come back to school in November was because our teachers were willing to take on the challenge and face the unknown. We are all so fortunate! Use this week to shower our deserving teachers with love and appreciation. Beyond giving things, take the opportunity to write a note and share what you appreciate most about your child's teacher! That is the best gift!!

Lost and Found: We have gathered quite a few lost and found items. They are hanging on the fence in front of school. Come grab what is yours! We will be donating what is not claimed next weekend.

Pennies for Patients: Keep up the great work! We are rocking it! In case you missed it, enjoy another awesome video made by our Leadership students: P for P 4/29
