Help Needed!! We are working to bring back Science Docent. It is a way to increase our students' exposure to science and it is a unique offering compared to other schools in the district. In order to really get it up and running, we need your help. We have one awesome parent working really hard to get things ready, but we really need at least one or two more people to help. Please let me know if you are interested! Thank you!

Donation Needed: We need unscented baby wipes and playground balls. We would greatly appreciate donations. Thank you!

Happy Sunday Families! We are still feeling excited about having our first assembly on Friday! The kids were so well-behaved and thrilled to cheer on their classmates. 

Here is a picture of this month's winners. Next month, we will be recognizing students who demonstrate Accountability.

February is I Love Reading Month!! We kicked it off on Tuesday, Feb. 1, with a school-wide read a loud. Well, actually, it was Mrs. Brooks reading a book at lunch. There will be more fun things happening including a week of dress up days. Be on the look out for updates and information. 

Next Year Schedule Change: 

Due to a change in state legislation, we wanted to inform you of changes to Stoneridge’s school day starting and ending times for the 2022-23 school year. The new law requires that high schools start no earlier than 8:30 am and middle schools no earlier than 8:00 am. The Roseville Joint Union High School District transports RCSD’s bus-riding students; therefore, our schools must start earlier to accommodate the new required start times for the high schools. 

For our students at Stoneridge, this means our school day for the 2022-23 school year will begin at 7:40am and will end at 2:00pm. We will still have a PLC early release day that will be on Wednesdays next year, and on that day, students will be released early. The time will be shared next weekend. 

We understand that this change will potentially impact morning and afternoon routines, and therefore we wanted to make sure you were made aware of this change as soon as possible. As we get more detailed information on our daily bell and bus schedules, we will share the information with our school community. Thank you!

All I have to say is 'Holy Cow!' January absolutely FLEW by! Here we are in February with Valentine's Day right around the corner. It is mind boggling. That doesn't go without saying that January did not bring some fun and excitement, but we did it! We met whatever came our way with flexibility and a 'can do' attitude. 

A HUGE Thank YOU!!! Our Sees fundraiser closed and we earned a profit of $1050.00. Amazing!! Thank you for your generosity!

Upcoming Donation Drive: Stoneridge Student Leadership Club takes pride in supporting local charities. We decided to help the homeless here in Roseville because we know we can make a big impact.

Happy Sunday! You know I was hoping to have a big Packer celebration post today but, that did not work out. That was not a pretty game, but it definitely kept everyone's interest from beginning to end. A good game is always fun to watch. So instead of football, I will celebrate the 100th day of school! We have made it through 100 days of this crazy year! And there are 81 days to go! 

On Friday, every student who dressed up for the 100 day earned a point with the students who dressed in spirit wear today. The creativity was incredible!! Here's winners from last week and Friday’s Spirt Wear Day! Canepa's classes are on FIRE!!!

Girls on the Run

We still need ONE MORE COACH by tomorrow Monday, 24th.

Registration starts for 3rd - 5th grade girls this Monday, Jan. 24th but Stoneridge can't participate and will have to cancel the team without 2 confirmed coaches.

Huge thank you to Amanda Matz for stepping up to be one of the coaches needed but she needs your help. 

Commitment: Twice a week, 90 minute practices after school, all lessons, and everything you need to run the team is included.

Please call the office or reach out to PTC (stoneridgeptc1@gmail.com) by Monday to be part of this incredible program that teaches self-empowerment and growth for the girls. Thank you!

2. Girls On The Run

ONE MORE COACH NEEDED - Stoneridge 2022 Girls on The Run Team

This is an excellent opportunity to lead our school's team for girls in 3rd - 5th grade. PTC wants to thank Jennifer Hilbert Speak, 5th grader Elizabeth's Mom, for her incredible dedication and coaching of our school's team over the last six years. We appreciate you Jennifer and your support of this program!

We are in search for two new coaches ASAP to register & build this years team. The time commitment is twice a week for 90 mins after school. Everything the coaches need is provided including all the lessons. Jennifer stated you don't need to be a runner to coach, it's an opportunity to build self-empowerment and growth for the girls on the team.

Registration opens on January 24th and season starts on January 28th. If we don't get any volunteer help, this program that helps inspires girls to be joyful, healthy, and confident using a fun running based curriculum will be canceled.
