Some of our staff at the Ron Clark Academy.  We are learning so much and can't wait to bring some of his ideas to Stoneridge and our students.

Family Writing Night
A flyer will be coming home next week but here is some information:
Who: Your entire family
What: Having fun together making a book of family memories
When: Thursday, February 23rd from 6pm-8pm
Where: Stoneridge Multipurpose Room
Cost: Free to Stoneridge Families

Casino Night is on March 10th!
Tickets are on sale now for PTC's Betting on the Arts Casino Night! The most fun you will ever have helping to raise money for our school. We have a DJ, Sami Kader as the MC, live auction items, silent auction items, dance floor, craps, blackjack, roulette, drinks, catered food, all for only $50 a ticket. All proceeds benefit our art and music program. Come join the fun on March 10th!  Last year we raised $12,000 for our art program here at Stoneridge. This year we want to raise even more.  All money from this event goes directly toward music and art at Stoneridge.  You can buy tickets using the paper form (will go home next week) or by going to www.stoneridgeshop.com.  You can also get updates on the Betting on the Arts Facebook Event Page





Pennies for Patients
Pennies for Patients is happening now!  A reminder we have a $3,000 goal for Pennies for Patients.  Please check out the video our students made.  Kids can bring in change or donate online at http://events.lls.org/pages/sac/StoneridgeElementarySchool-2017

Star Nova is offering a hands-on class for students who would love to exercise their creative science brain and build a stand-alone shelter, create a working boat or a water pump...bring your ideas to reality in this Inventor's club.  Sign up here .

PE News

The January timed half mile (2nd &3rd grades) and mile (4th & 5th) times are updated on the PE webpage AND the video of the NEW "Jailhouse Rock" dance is posted. PE Website

Also, just a reminder to wear proper footwear to PE class. The weather is getting colder, but we are getting a lot of students wearing boots (with heels). One option can be to put their PE shoes in their backpack and just change into them for PE.
